In Geography we have been learning about Australia. We located Australia on the map and used the Ipads to find out more information. We read lots of information about Australia and compared this to what our life is like in England.
In English we have read information about sharks and written our own shark fact files. Did you know that sharks babies are called pups? We have also been on a trip to Tropical World in Leeds where we have found out about lots of different animals which live in Australia. We have written a recount of this to tell people about our fantastic time!
In maths we have been learning about time. We can now read the time to o’clock and half past and even draw the hands on the clock. We have also been learning about 2D and 3D shapes. We can recognise them in the classroom and talk about their properties.
Next half term we will be going on a trip to the seaside. We will reading the story of the snail and the whale and finding out about their adventures in England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales. We will also be taking part in lots of fun summer events including the summer fayre and sports day.
