On Thursday 8th December, Key Stage 2 were given the rare and exciting opportunity to travel all around the world using 360° virtual reality headsets brought to us by non-other than Google. From the rainforests of the Amazon, to the summit of the Earth at Mount Everest, they were transported to different locations linked to their programme of study. Scott, from Google, was on hand to demonstrate the power of modern technology at its finest. The virtual reality headsets offer as lifelike an experience as imaginable without the hassle of packing suitcases for yourself and the family. You can support your child at home by asking them about the experience and allowing them time to talk about what they saw and felt. You can find out more information by searching ‘Google Expeditions’ on the internet.
